Mr. Kendall hails from the suburbs of Philadelphia where
he graduated Malvern Preparatory School with Honors, and then
received his Bachelors of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon
University. Mr. Kendall incorporated his first company, ‘RKtects’ in
1994, which provided CADD services to the architecture and
construction industry. Responding to his clientele’s
request to provide full architectural, construction, and business
consulting services led to the establishment of ‘The
Kendall Group’ in 1996.
Through his career Mr. Kendall has held several key positions.
As the founder and head of the Ballymeade architectural review
committee, he was responsible for all design review, construction,
and implementation of 1200 custom homes, (2) 18 hole golf courses,
120-room hotel, and convention center. Later Mr. Kendall was
the Director of Architecture for Toll Brothers Inc. where he
was responsible for the maintenance, production, and permitting
of 450 model homes with 2,000 different options for 146 residential
communities across 17 states. Most recently Mr. Kendall established
an architectural startup division for a top 10 Washington DC
engineering firm.
Currently Mr. Kendall is focusing on his private practice,
consisting of high-end custom residential and various specialty
commercial projects. Most noteworthy to date is the ‘Cape
Cod Children’s Museum’. This project will be the
first of its kind where the program will integrate the “Please
Touch” concept with science, art and technology, more
specifically, technology for the disabled. Mr. Kendall’s
deep interest in the disabled has led to his creation of a
company which will retrofit the homes of the disabled, making
them barrier free and accessible, at no cost to the client.
This company was incorporated as a not for profit in 2003 as ‘Homescapes,
Inc.’.
