The Services
Homescapes, Inc. has been created out of an overwhelming need for structural
or other home modifications for financially challenged individuals who have
survived spinal cord injuries or other disabling conditions. The services
that Homescapes offers will assist the individual in getting back into
their home, and in cooperation with other agencies, giving them a better
on-going quality of life.
Service Description
Rapid response design/build operation providing architectural design and project
construction expertise that meets or exceeds ADA recommended standards and best
practices. Free of charge to mobility impaired individuals who meet Homescapes
Criteria for Services.
Financial Benefit to Society
There is a strong business case to be made for operating as a nonprofit provider
that provides these services free of charge. By reducing time spent in medical
institutions, and expediting an individual's return to economic independence
and employment as appropriate, any funds expended to construct adaptive home
environments can be recouped by society through reduced costs to consumers
and insurance companies.
As a national nonprofit, with a talented and visionary
volunteer Board of Directors, Homescapes, Inc. is able to serve as the steward
of public trust, and attract and administer donations toward its mission.
